Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān (Paññā Mettā Foundation) is commited to the practice and propogation of the teachings of the Buddha as preserved in the Pāli Tipiṭaka. Thirty-seven Bodhipakkiyā Dhammā constitute the practice of Buddha's teachings. The teachings are practised as Noble Eightfold Path (Ariyo Aṭṭhaṅgiko Maggo) which is also called as Majjhimapaṭipadā(Middle Path).
Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān is engaged in the propogation of Noble Eightfold Path and Aṭṭhasīla (Eight precepts) Uposatha through its Dhamma Retreats, Dhamma Conferences and Dhamma Discourses. One day Dhamma Workshops of PMP have been very popular since 2002. Laks of Upasakas and Upasikas have practiced Aṭṭhasīla (Eight precepts) in hundreds of Dhamma Workshops. PMP is also engaged in the propogation of Ānāpāna Sati (Awareness of incoming and outgoing breath) and Vipassanā (Insight wisdom) meditation practices, which are called as Samatha and Vipassanā.
PMP promotes and is founded on the Dhamma vision of Bodhisatta Dr. Bābāsāheb Āmbedkar, who is credited with the great task of revival of Buddhism in India on 14th October, 1956 at Deekshābhoomi Nāgpūr. Bābāsāheb Āmbedkar's book THE BUDHHA AND HIS DHAMMA and the Pāli Tipiṭaka are the guiding lights of PMP.
Buddha discovered the Dhamma, The universal path of removal of all suffering. The Dhamma is same far all people irrespective of their caste, creed and religion. The practice of Dhamma gives the same fruit to every person who practices it. Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān is committed to teach the Dhamma to all the people irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, language and country. Buddha’s teachings apply equally to all. The people of all castes, creed, religion, language and country are invited to Dhamma Courses in the centers managed by Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān.
