Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān (Paññā Mettā Foundation) was established in the month of April, 2002 to bring āchārkrānti (revolution in conduct) by the practice of Noble Eightfold Path (Dhamma) as envisaged by Bodhisatta Dr. Bābāsāheb Āmbedkar.
The Pratisṭhān is committed to transform the society into developed society through the practice of Buddha Dhamma.
“We are making efforts to take the mankind towards perfection”. So said Bodhisatta Dr. Bābāsāheb Āmbedkar in his address to his followers at historic Deekshābhoomi of Nāgpūr on 15th October, 1956.
In light of this statement of Dr. Bābāsāheb Āmbedkar, PMP is making concerted efforts to establish the kingdom of righteousness through the practice of Dhamma.
Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān is a trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and Society’s Registration Act, 1860.
Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān is organising Dhamma retreats, Dhamma workshops, COnferences, Seminars and Dhamma Discourses for more than 20 years and is impressing upon the minds of the people the need to practice Noble Eightfold Path and eight precepts (Uposatha Aṭṭhasila).
Pradnyā Maitri Pratisṭhān
is also assisting and supporting Bhāratiya Buddha Sāsana Sangha in the development of the Bhikkhu Sangha which will be dedicated to the practice of Patimokkha or the rules of discipline (Vinaya) consisting of 227 rules.
